Modular Command Center (MCC) - Civilian Staff

This course is designed for UN field officers who need to understand concepts related to deployment, operations and basic maintenance of the modular command center (MCC). including the concept of ICT systems rapid deployment, exchanging of information on planned MCC utilization in missions. This course is not targeted at technicians who need to be taught all the technical aspects of maintaining the MCC. However, technicians can review this course to gather generic information and knowledge of the product.

Abstract

This course provides an overview of the functionality, key features, set-up, and deployment process of the Modular Command Center (MCC). The course is divided into nine topics. Each topic focusses on different aspects of the MCC. The aim of this course is to enhance the knowledge of all personnel involved in dealing with the MCC at different levels and raise awareness about the MCC.

  • Describe MCC and explain its purpose
  • Recognize the training requirement for setting up the MCC
  • Determine how a MCC is prepared and deployed
  • Explain the preparation and integration of the MCC within the mission
  • Describe the uses of the MCC
  • Define the end of mission tasks with respect to the MCC
